This Privacy Policy explains how the Relaxing Noise Mixer Android application (the “App”) processes information. The App is published on Google Play by Norbert Győri (“we”, “us”, or “the developer”).
1. Data controller and contact
Data controller: Norbert Győri, Denmark.
Contact: noisenest.app@gmail.com
2. Information processed by the App
Information stored locally on your device
The App stores settings and feature state on your device so that it can work as expected. This may include:
- favorites and saved presets, including preset names and sound-volume settings;
- selected theme and language;
- recent sounds and the last active mix;
- Sleep Timer and Focus Timer settings and active-session recovery state;
- Zen Garden strokes, selected tool, and saved garden state;
- Premium status, review-prompt state, ad-frequency state, notification-prompt state, and feature-announcement state.
This information is not uploaded to our own servers. The App does not provide an account or cloud-sync service. Local information may be deleted by clearing the App’s storage or uninstalling the App.
Analytics information
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the App is used and to improve its features. Depending on your privacy choices and applicable law, analytics information may include automatically collected app events, app-instance identifiers, device and operating-system information, app version, approximate region, and interaction data.
Examples of App events include:
- sound and preset usage, sound-session duration, and foreground/background session time;
- Sleep Timer and Focus Timer usage, phase completion, pause/resume, recovery, and session-end reason;
- Zen Garden opening, first interaction, session duration, and aggregated stroke, undo, and clear counts;
- Premium-screen, purchase, restore, ad, review-prompt, theme, and support-button interactions.
We do not send Zen Garden drawings, stroke coordinates, screenshots, microphone recordings, precise location, contacts, preset names, or the audio you listen to to Firebase Analytics.
Crash and diagnostic information
We use Firebase Crashlytics to detect crashes and non-fatal technical errors. Diagnostic reports may include crash stack traces, error messages, app and device information, operating-system information, app version, installation identifiers used by Crashlytics, and technical logs added to help identify the cause of a problem. We do not intentionally add names, email addresses, preset names, Zen Garden drawings, or message content to Crashlytics reports.
Advertising information
Free users may see banner and interstitial advertisements provided through Google AdMob. Google and its advertising partners may process information such as device identifiers, advertising identifiers where available, IP address, general location, ad interactions, app information, and consent signals to provide, limit, personalize, measure, and protect advertising. The exact partners and purposes shown to you may depend on your location and the choices available in Google’s consent form.
Choosing non-personalized or limited ads does not necessarily stop all data processing. Data may still be used for contextual advertising, frequency capping, fraud prevention, security, and aggregated measurement.
Purchase information
Premium subscriptions are purchased through Google Play. Google processes your payment information. The App receives limited transaction information, such as the purchased product identifier, purchase status, and a purchase token, so it can complete the transaction, verify available purchases on the device, restore access, and unlock Premium. We do not receive or store your full payment-card or bank-account details.
Support communications
If you contact us by email, we process the information you choose to send, including your email address and message. When you use the App’s support buttons, the prepared email may also contain the App version, Android version and API level, device manufacturer/model, and selected language. You can edit or remove this information before sending the email.
3. Purposes and legal bases
We process information for the following purposes:
- Providing the App and Premium features: to save local settings, play audio, restore active timers, and confirm subscription access. The legal basis is performance of the service you request and our legitimate interest in providing a functional App.
- Analytics and advertising choices: based on consent where consent is required by applicable law. In other situations, processing may also rely on legitimate interests, subject to applicable rights.
- App stability and security: to diagnose crashes, prevent abuse, and maintain reliable operation. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating and improving the App.
- Support: to answer your request and keep necessary correspondence. The legal basis is taking steps at your request and our legitimate interest in providing support.
- Legal compliance: where processing is necessary to comply with legal obligations or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
4. Privacy choices
Where Google’s privacy message is available, you can review or change eligible advertising and analytics choices in Settings > Manage privacy choices. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred before the withdrawal. Some diagnostic processing and limited advertising may continue where permitted by law and necessary for stability, security, fraud prevention, or non-personalized ad delivery.
5. Service providers and recipients
Information may be processed by:
- Google Analytics for Firebase for usage measurement;
- Firebase Crashlytics for crash and diagnostic reporting;
- Google AdMob and advertising partners for ad delivery and measurement;
- Google Play for subscriptions, transaction processing, cancellation, and purchase restoration;
- Google email services when you contact the support email address.
We do not sell your personal data. Advertising providers may process or disclose data as described in their own policies and in the consent message presented to you. Google’s privacy information is available at Google Privacy Policy.
6. International data transfers
Google and its service providers may process information in countries outside your country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area. Where required, these transfers are subject to applicable safeguards described in Google’s terms and privacy documentation.
7. Retention
- Local App data remains on your device until you delete it, clear the App’s storage, or uninstall the App.
- Support emails are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain appropriate records, and comply with legal obligations.
- Analytics, advertising, purchase, and diagnostic information is retained according to our applicable Google service settings, Google’s retention practices, and legal requirements. Aggregated reports that no longer identify an individual app instance may be kept for longer.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to a small mobile application. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
The App is intended for a general audience and is not specifically directed to children. We do not knowingly request a child’s name, contact details, precise location, photos, or other user-submitted content. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information through a support email may contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.
10. Your data-protection rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal data, receive portable data, and withdraw consent. Because the App has no user accounts and most telemetry uses app-instance identifiers, we may need information from you to determine whether particular data can be linked to your device. We will handle requests as required by applicable law.
European users may also lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority. In Denmark, the supervisory authority is the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet).
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, our service providers, or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date shows when the current version took effect. Material changes may also be communicated in the App or on Google Play where appropriate.
12. Contact
Questions or privacy requests can be sent to noisenest.app@gmail.com.
